Contact US Families
Contact U.S. Families Services is a dedicated program within the Unified U.S. Deported Veterans Resource Center, located at Playas Barracks. This service is designed specifically to support the families of deported U.S. veterans who remain in the United States while their loved ones face the challenges of living in exile. Our mission is to bridge the gap between deported veterans and their families, providing essential resources, emotional support, and advocacy to help maintain strong family connections despite the physical distance.
Key Services Offered:
Emotional Support and Counseling:
We offer counseling services to family members who are coping with the emotional strain of having a loved one deported. Our trained counselors provide a safe space to discuss concerns, manage stress, and develop coping strategies.
Legal Assistance:
Navigating the legal complexities of immigration and veteran affairs can be daunting. Our team offers guidance on legal matters, helping families understand their rights, explore options for reunification, and connect with legal resources.
Communication Support:
Maintaining regular communication is crucial for family unity. We assist families in setting up phone or video calls with their deported loved ones, ensuring that they can stay connected and share important life events.
Advocacy and Awareness:
We advocate for the rights of deported veterans and their families, working to raise awareness and drive policy changes that could facilitate the return of deported veterans to the United States. Families can join our advocacy efforts and participate in campaigns aimed at bringing their loved ones back home.
Resource Connection:
We connect families with additional resources, including financial assistance, healthcare services, and community support networks, both in the U.S. and Mexico.
